Sunshine Coast Council recognises the inherent vulnerability of children and young people and their right to safety and wellbeing. We are dedicated to ensuring the safety, welfare, and wellbeing of all children and young people who engage with Council services, programs, and facilities.
As a child safe organisation, Council has embedded child safety and wellbeing in its culture and governance. This includes implementing policies and procedures to prevent and protect children from abuse, responding to risks, complaints, and safety concerns, and promoting the cultural safety of First Nations children.
