Young people aged between 10 and 25 are invited to attend the inaugural Y-business mini conference at Maroochydore Library from 8.45am to noon on December 12, 2014.

Community Programs Portfolio Councillor Jenny McKay said the inaurgural Council run Y-business mini conference aimed to assist young entrepreneurs in the region.

“We are aware that creating your own business at a young age can be daunting but if you’ve gained some tips and tricks from professionals it can be easy,” Cr McKay said.

“We have organised three very successful Sunshine Coast business people to present at the mini conference.

“They will share their expert advice on business development through online marketing, the power of social media and attending local markets.

“The guest speakers are Belinda Ford, CEO of successful eBay store Retro au go go, Yvette Adams, CEO of The Creative Collective and Daniel West, General Manager of Eumundi Markets.

“The good news is it is free to attend but bookings are essential as we have limited numbers.”
