If you want to learn from the experts how to cope during extreme weather events, then here’s your chance.

Sunshine Coast Libraries has partnered with Council’s Disaster Management team to present eight free disaster management workshops.

You cannot control the weather or when the next disaster will hit the Sunshine Coast, but you can be aware and prepared.

Discover which steps to take to protect what is most important to you. Learn how to develop an Emergency Plan and prepare an Emergency Kit for bushfire and storm season.

The workshops will feature:

  • Discover which steps to take to protect what’s most important to you.
  • Learn how to develop an Emergency Plan and prepare an Emergency Kit for bushfire and storm season.
  • Explore Councils Disaster Hub to find the latest Sunshine Coast updates and other practical resources.
  • Find out what to do before, during and after a natural disaster event.
  • All attendees are provided with tips and a goodie bag to take home.
