Traffic Update - Carter Road, Nambour

Sunshine Coast Council started road rehabilitation works on Carter Road, Nambour today as part of council’s annual road rehabilitation program.

Staff found it necessary for reasons of safety to allow only one lane of traffic past the machinery. Unfortunately this caused delays to road users, banking up traffic on the Nambour Connection Road.

To mitigate the delays to peak hour traffic users, work will be spread over the next two days rather than one, with works commencing at the later time of 9am and ceasing at 3pm.

Council is unable to complete the works at night due to the residential precinct area.

The next phase for Carter Road is bitumen sealing, programmed for 12 August. This will be followed by an asphalt wearing course and line marking.

Council apologises for the inconvenience and asks that road users bear with them whilst these necessary works are carried out.
