Traffic bridge at Petrie Park in Nambour closed for construction

Warana Bridge on Petrie Park Road in Nambour will be closed while it is replaced.

The existing bridge can no longer be maintained safely and cost effectively.

Preliminary construction works will start on July 13, 2017 with the bridge being closed to vehicle and pedestrian use from July 31, 2017 until March 30, 2018 (weather permitting).

Nambour Aquatic Centre remains accessible via Blackall Terrace and Elder Street.

This upgrade is part of Sunshine Coast Council’s 2017-18 $237 million Capital Works Program.
