Australia’s newest household name Taylor Henderson is bringing his all-ages national Burnt Letters concert to Sunshine Coast Council’s Lake Kawana Community Centre on Saturday, September 6.

On reflection, it seems almost inevitable that Taylor Henderson would make his mark on the Australian music industry.

After years of song writing and playing in a duo with his dad, Henderson found his way into the spotlight as a finalist on Australia's Got Talent in 2010, before becoming a firm fan-favourite and finalist on The X-Factor in 2013.

They say you can't keep a good man down, and after showcasing his talent and youthful exuberance on national TV, Sony Music signed the young musician late last year, just in time for his double-platinum #1 single Borrow My Heart, and a number one platinum album Taylor Henderson - a collection of songs performed on The X-Factor.

It was an auspicious start to what will certainly be regarded in the years ahead, as a notable musical career.

It’s now almost a year since his appearances on The X-Factor, and Taylor Henderson has spent the last few months in the studio working on brand new material for his debut original Burnt Letters, and on celebration that the album has debuted at number one on the ARIA Albums Chart, this reflects on the recent changes in his new career.

Taylor Henderson said that before The X-Factor, he would just sit down in his room and write songs and no one ever heard them.

“And if I did a gig I would be lucky if four people rocked up to the gig," Taylor said.

“The whole X-Factor experience has changed all that for me - now people have had a chance to listen to me, and Sony Music has been able to see that I can put a song together and they've put a lot of faith in me and my career going forward.”

Tickets are $47 and can be purchased online at www.scvenuesandevents.com.au, at the venue or over the phone on 5413 1400.
