Covered car parking has now been installed at Sunshine Coast Airport providing patrons with the option to choose shade when parking in the Premium Long Term Car Park.
Sunshine Coast Airport General Manager Peter Pallot said the latest car park upgrades follow on from the terminal upgrade and are in direct response to customer feedback from the airport’s annual customer satisfaction survey.
"The upgraded premium long term car park now offers cover over more than 160 car spaces for both improved weather protection for vehicles and reduced sun and heat exposure for passengers," Peter Pallot said.
"All car parks at Sunshine Coast Airport are regularly patrolled and gates are locked one hour after the last evening flight and re-opened at 6.30am," he said
"In addition to addressing customer comfort, Sunshine Coast Airport has also commenced the upgrade of one of its aircraft parking bays to accommodate B737/A320 size aircraft; increasing the apron capacity to four free-moving bays.
"These works are due for completion by Christmas.
