Callers to Sunshine Coast Council can now avoid telephone queues thanks to leading-edge technology.

Governance and Customer Service Portfolio Councillor Ted Hungerford said council is committed to going “above and beyond” when dealing with our customers.

“We regularly conduct customer satisfaction surveys to assess performance and determine areas for improvement,” Cr Hungerford said.

“Based on feedback, I am pleased to announce the introduction of a new, convenient way for customers to contact council during business hours from 8.30am-4.30pm Monday to Friday.

“Web Call-Back allows customers to log an online call-back request whenever they want to contact council for information or to conduct business over the phone.

“The good news is people can also use this contact option for development enquiries – a great improvement to the service.

“Council continually reviews it services to both increase efficiency and to better match services to our customer’s needs.”

The Call-Back service is available from the “Contact Council” quick link on council’s home page and clicking on Request Call-Back.

You simply enter your first name, the phone number you want the system to call, including area code, and select the enquiry type.

The system lodges a call and a customer service officer will call you back.
