Last year's Senior Superstar winners, female ensemble Quintessence, will open the Expo with their performance of "If I loved you" from Carousel and finalist, Michael Wouters, will ensure the launch ends on a high by performing his winning version of the James Brown classic "I feel good".
Senior Superstar Sunshine Coast is presented by the Sunshine Coast Regional Council to showcase the talent of the region’s seniors in a supportive and celebratory environment.
Competitors can sing, dance, play music, or do stand-up comedy – whatever they do best to entertain a live audience.
Weekly heats will be held on 3 October at Tewantin, 10 October at Maroochydore and 17 October at Nambour. The grand final will be staged at Caloundra’s Events Centre on Saturday 7 November.
The launch of Senior Superstar will take place as part of the official opening of the inaugural Healthy Ageing & Lifestyle Expo presented by Reflections Support Services.
