Event marketing will be on the agenda at the Sunshine Coast Events Network ( scene) educational workshop to be held at the Lake Kawana Community Centre from 1pm on Wednesday, August 12.
Open to everyone involved with events, Sunshine Coast Council’s scene program is aimed at those who are new to the events industry, are looking to run a new event or would like to further develop existing events or skill sets.
The second scene workshop for 2015, entitled Leveraging your event, won’t disappoint with four industry professionals primed to share their experience.
Learn how to excite the media with Rosanna Natoli from Seven and Richard O’Leary from My Weekly Preview. Julie Cullen from Sunshine Coast Destination Limited will explain how you can work with your regional tourism organisation and Caroline Campbell wraps it up with her tips for sponsorship success.
Bookings for the workshop are essential. Cost to attend is $30 per person and $25 for students, pensioners and not-for-profits including a delicious afternoon tea.
Visit Council’s website for further information on scene and to RSVP, or subscribe to the scene e-newsletter to receive updates, information on upcoming events and industry tips and tricks.
scene is proudly supported by Business Events Sunshine Coast, the University of the Sunshine Coast, TAFE East Coast and My Weekly Preview.
