Residents and visitors to the Sunshine Coast hinterland should be aware that one lane of Bald Knob Road at Peachester will be out of action for the next four to six weeks.

Sunshine Coast Regional Council’s Division 1 Councillor Anna Grosskreutz is warning residents of the closure, and asking for their patience while the road is repaired.

The road closure is due to a slip on the road’s edge that has left it too dangerous for motorists to use.

Barricades have been erected around the affected area, and traffic lights at either end of the closed lane will be in operation until the both lanes are open again.

”The lane is expected to remain closed for the next four to six weeks, so we ask drivers to be tolerant and courteous while the damaged area is repaired,” Cr Grosskreutz said.

Enquiries can be made through Council’s Customer Service on 5420 8200.
