Local musicians Rhythm Culture will be the support band at the upcoming performance by Seychelles Islander Grace Barbe and her band at Sunshine Coast Council’s Nambour Civic Centre on Tuesday, September 9 at 7:30pm.

Grace will be touring to the Sunshine Coast as part of a Kultour national tour. Her music reflects and celebrates the diverse cultural influences of her Indian Ocean heritage (African, Asian and European).

Grace has performed and featured at some of Australia’s leading music festivals including Byron Bay Bluesfest, WOMAD and Woodford as well as performing at many international festivals, and has been awarded Best World Act an incredible four years running since 2009 in Western Australia.

Rhythm Culture has an established reputation on the Sunshine Coast with a popular following due to their incredible stage presence which guarantees to leave the audience feeling part of the show. Rhythm Culture provides a visually spectacular African performance, where you can feel the raw beats of the dunun, the fire of the djembe and the tribal show of West African dance.

The entire show including Rhythm Culture and Grace Barbe will be a colourful and energetic fusion of tropical island rhythms with African percussion, pop, jazz, reggae, rock and Latin flavours!

The upbeat groove and unstoppable pulse is sure to get the crowd entranced, on their feet and dancing.
