Remedial works at the Nightsoil depot

Residents are advised that remedial works are proposed to start immediately at the Nightsoil depot, corner of Cooyar Street and Noosa Springs Drive, Noosa Heads.

This will involve excavation and revegetation works on the site, to remove the soil containing nutrients, which may be polluted due to the sites use as a disposal site for grease trap waste.

Council will then plant appropriate vegetation to take up any remaining nutrients. This will reduce the risk of nutrients migrating from the buried waste into the underground water table.
