The people of Mudjimba have spoken and now their freshly revitalised beach-side park is ready to be revealed.

The upgrade works are a direct result of the Power Memorial Park Landscape Concept Plan developed in 2009-2010 in consultation with the community.

Division 8 Councillor Jason O’Pray said the park improvements would provide a number of benefits to the community.

"The revamp supports the site’s increased use and will improve recreational opportunities," Cr O’Pray said.

"The new park features will provide accessible pedestrian access to the new shelters and increase the amount of sheltered seating areas.

"Picnic tables which have reached the end of their usable life have been replaced and the community will now have a place to store and lock their bikes if they choose to cycle to the park."

Visitors to this popular park can look out for:

  • two new park shelters with table settings
  • new connecting concrete footpaths to the shelters and carpark
  • seven replacement picnic table settings
  • three new bike racks.
