Passing time at Butter Factory Arts Centre
The paintings by local artist Wendy Epp on display at Cooroy’s Butter Factory Arts Centre until 16 November are the record of an ordinary person’s musings on the effects of the passing of time.
The paintings by local artist Wendy Epp on display at Cooroy’s Butter Factory Arts Centre until 16 November are the record of an ordinary person’s musings on the effects of the passing of time.
Passing Time has no scientific basis apart from a few basic facts; the works are the result of Wendy Epp’s personal impressions drawn from an artistic perspective, with a constant outlook for words and images that may be reconstituted into artistic language aimed at documenting the artist’s personal observations about the ‘passing of time’.
In spite of personal differences, Wendy Epp and viewers of her works are all shaped by current thinking in our society. The artist hopes that her personal musings, faithfully rendered, will strike a chord with visitors who attend her exhibition.
