This special author event presented by Sunshine Coast Libraries is part of Horizon Festival 2018 when the Sunshine Coast will come alive over 10 arts-fuelled days from August 24 to September 2.
Nova will talk about her new book, Nova – Finding My Voice, which brings together a collection of Nova’s memorable, passionate and influential speeches from her political career.
Nova’s drive and ambition has inspired many Australians.
In her book, Nova reflects on those who motivated her to have the courage to speak out on the topics she is passionate about.
This is a unique opportunity to meet one of Australia’s most passionate individuals as Nova shares her stories in an intimate not-to-be-missed author event.
Nova’s books will be available for purchase and signing at the venue.
Tickets are $29 per person and bookings are essential via the libraries website.
Nova will be joined by special guest interviewer Helena Gulash, who is a Kabi Kabi woman and indigenous arts and cultural management consultant.
Guests will also be able to enjoy live music by talented local artist Josh Curtis.
Light bushtucker-infused refreshments are provided and a cash wine bar is available from 6pm.
This year’s Horizon Festival program is packed with performance, visual art, music, film, dance, comedy, immersive technologies, events for families, hands-on workshops, art on the beach and more.
