Nambour Landfill closure

Nambour Landfill (Cooney Rd, Nambour) will be closed to the public on Wednesday May 6 while Council repairs damage to the weighbridge office following vandalism in February. The facility will reopen for normal business on Thursday May 7.

Nambour Landfill (Cooney Rd, Nambour) will be closed to the public on Wednesday May 6 while Council repairs damage to the weighbridge office following vandalism in February.

The facility will reopen for normal business on Thursday May 7.

Customers who need to dispose of waste while Nambour Landfill is closed are encouraged to use:

  • Buderim Landfill at Syd Lingard Dr, Buderim (load restrictions apply)
  • Caloundra Landfill at Pierce Ave, Bells Creek (behind Corbould Park Racecourse).

Council apologises for any inconvenience caused by this closure.

The waste and recycling trucks will continue to access Nambour Landfill and household waste collection will continue as normal.
