Caloundra Regional Art Gallery is offering visitors great value, particularly for lovers of local art – with three exhibitions by Sunshine Coast artists on show during June. Visitors will be able to see the work of six local artists in three separate exhibitions all in the one place.

The 2 in 1 exhibition is a digital and mixed-media collaboration by artists Noela Mills and Carol Wilkes. Although inspired by the same subject, both artists have used their diverse artistic techniques to produce entirely different work.

Scratching the Surface created by Sue Gilmour, explores unexpected traces of past cultural influences and past events that lie beneath the surface and connect past and present with symbolic graffiti and imagery.

Three of the Sunshine Coast’s finest watercolourists Barry Green, Don Woodley and James McKay have come together to create Sails to Saddles, a selection of paintings that explore our natural and cultural character.

The exhibitions are showing from Wednesday 3 June to Sunday 5 July with the official opening at 6.30pm on Friday 5 June by Ken Munsie, artist and coordinator of the Collaboration of Maleny Artists. The gallery, located at 22 Omrah Avenue Caloundra, is open Wednesday to Sunday 10am-4pm and entry is free.
