The Sunshine Coast Lightning have a top-two finish in their control heading into the final two weeks of the Suncorp Super Netball home and away season.

A convincing 64-50 win against West Coast Fever at USC Sports Stadium on Friday night ensured the Lightning would finish no worse than third on the ladder entering the finals series.

They will take a top-two spot if they beat the NSW Swifts at USC this Saturday night and the competition leading GWS Giants in Sydney in the final round.

A top-two position would guarantee the Lightning a maximum of two chances at reaching the grand final in their inaugural season.

Teams three and four in the finals will be in sudden-death from week one.

LADDER: Giants 20, Vixens 19, Lightning 19, Magpies 14, Firebirds 11, Swifts 7,  Fever 4, Thunderbirds 2.
