If you have a dog whose bark is causing you or your neighbours some headaches, come along to Sunshine Coast Council’s free ‘Park the Bark’ seminar presented by experienced animal behaviourist Dr Cam Day at Lake Kawana Community Centre on Thursday, March 2.

Community Programs Portfolio Councillor Jenny McKay said council received more than 11,000 barking dog complaints each year.

“We know barking dogs are an issue for many residents across the Coast so we’re holding this seminar to help people living with the issue understand the reason for their dog's barking behaviour,” Cr McKay said.

“It’s free to come along and you’ll learn to understand why dogs bark and get some useful tips on how to reduce this unwanted behaviour.”

Dr Cam Day is an experienced Veterinary Behaviourist who provides an entertaining and informative night.

The ‘Park the Bark’ seminar will include:

  • A look at some barking dog cases
  • Which dogs bark the most
  • A key you can use to solve barking behaviour
  • Solutions to 'When I am home' barking
  • Solutions to 'When I am away' barking
  • Question time

There are only 250 spots available, so be sure to secure your booking as early as possible.
