Free jam-packed fun in Felicity Park

If you are looking for a fun-filled day to entertain the whole family make sure you head to the idyllic Felicity Park, adjacent to Caloundra Regional Gallery, from 11am to 8pm on Saturday, January 17.
There is something for everyone.
The free jam-packed day includes a range of arts and crafts for all ages.
Children aged six to 12 years are invited to join local artist Kim Schoenberger at the dragons and dinosaurs clay workshop from 11am to 1pm.
Twelve to 16 year olds can join Kim from 2-4.30pm and make their own sacred temple by transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary.
You can even unleash your eco-friendly fashion design talents and join artist Lindy Saunders and create some wearable art from 11am-2.45pm.
Use a range of recycled materials and make a garment or accessory to wear.
At 3pm you can join in the fashion parade to show off your unique design. Young people aged 12 to 16 can even create a groovy bangle or cuff from soft sculpting wire and recycled materials from 2-4.30pm.
If you love music you can join artist Herbert Fenn and discover and create some really cool percussive sounds from recycled materials assembled on plastic tables from 1-3pm.
Entertainment includes free face painting stories, songs with Rosie the Storyteller and live music with Rhythm Culture and Tuscany from 4pm.
Back by popular demand is the Suitcase Rummage in Felicity Park from 4-8pm.
You can be part of the rummage experience by selling wares or come along to buy some real bargains.
There will be vintage, artwork, bric-a-brac, clothing, books, jewellery, shoes, records, music and more.
Make sure you make time in your day to head into Caloundra Regional Gallery to experience the diversity of local Aboriginal commercial artist De Greer-Yindimincarlie in the striking Aspects of Me exhibition.
The exhibition illustrates the vast array of mediums De uses to make her art and the diverse nature of styles ranging from paint, digital media including augmented reality, textile design, film, music and print.
So bring a blanket or chair and settle in for the day.
There will even be a free sausage sizzle from noon-1pm and refreshments available for purchase.
Felicity Park will also come to life with a blend of live music and Aboriginal art making on Sunday January 11, 18 and 25 by Caloundra Regional Gallery’s exhibiting artist De Greer-Yindimincarlie. Come along to be entertained and participate in making your own Gratitude rock. No bookings required.
