Sunshine Coast Council proudly presents the final projection sound artwork Natural Transitions in the Public Art Program at Noosa Junction station by respected Sunshine Coast artists Kathy Daly and Glen Manning.

Division 11 Councillor Russell Green said the integrated twelve month Public Art Program has featured four unique projection and sound artworks that capture the culture and scenic beauty of Noosa. "Natural Transitions, the final projection, is a contemporary new media work exploring the connections between landscape and place and will be screening at Noosa Junction station until mid September ," he said.

"Noosa Junction station will certainly come to life with this beautiful projection and importantly will include the talents of esteemed local artists.

"The community is invited to attend the launch of Natural Transitions at Noosa Junction station this Friday 8 June at 6pm and celebrate the importance that public art plays in the region."

Artists Kathy Daly and Glen Manning said_Natural Transitions_explores themes of landscape and journey - how we shape our environment, where we choose to live and how we see ourselves within that environment.

"The objective of this artwork is to produce a sense of the landscape and express the transient physical and emotional journeys we undertake," Ms Daly and Mr Manning said.

"Fragments of an ever-changing landscape are brought into focus as a way of signifying the intersection between the viewer and the environment.

"The projection also features an instrumental music soundtrack by emerging local artist Riley McMahon."

Natural Transitions will be launched at Noosa Junction station on Friday 8 June at 6pm. RSVP by Wednesday 6 June by phone on 5449 5340 or email [email protected]
