The Mooloolaba Spit is one of the most popular recreational areas on the Coast for both residents and visitors.

New work to upgrade the Coastal Pathway and the surrounding parkland is now complete. Most of the recent work has taken place east of Urunga Esplanade, with improved landscaping, park furniture, lighting and new realignment of the pathway.

The Coastal Pathway is not unique to Mooloolaba; in fact, it stretches all the way from Pelican Waters in the south, all the way up to Coolum Beach.

The Pathway takes a scenic route and connects beaches, parks and leisure areas. There is more information about it on Council’s website.

This stretch of the Spit experience needed upgrading and the result looks great – so come on down and take a look!

Almost there …

Works on Stages 5 and 6 of the foreshore upgrading at Alexandra Headland are well on track.

We are aiming for an opening of this work on Anzac Day – let’s hope the weather holds!

Again, we apologise to any residents inconvenienced while this work continues, but the outcome will prove to be worth it.
