Cr Baberowski - Future planning for South East Queensland
The Queensland Government is seeking ideas to help develop the South East Queensland Regional Plan.
Sunshine Coast Council’s 2016/17 Budget was handed down last Thursday June 16. I wanted to say how pleased I was to deliver such a wide range of projects to the community during the last financial year. I look forward to another solid year of results for Division 1.
Future planning for South East Queensland
The Queensland Government is seeking ideas to help develop the South East Queensland Regional Plan. I strongly encourage all residents to have a say on what you would like to see as priorities for the future of South East Queensland. All ideas will be carefully considered before a draft regional plan is released for further public consultation late in 2016. For more information visit www.shapingseq.com.au
BeCa Road Safety Meeting
I recently attended a road safety public meeting conducted by the Bellvista and Bells Reach Community Association (BeCa). The meeting covered a wide variety of road safety concerns. I believe the take home message was that design cannot fix everything, and in the end we must all play an active role in being safe on our roads.
Have your say on the rail duplication
As you know, I have been a committed advocate for the North Coast Rail Line duplication from Beerburrum to Nambour. If you haven’t already participated, now is a critical moment to have your say. Your feedback to the Queensland Government will assist the project team to potentially re-scope the project and finalise a reference design.
