Cr OPray - Residents' handbook for artifical waterways
A residents’ handbook, designed for people who live next to an artificial waterway, is now available from council.
Do you live near an artificial waterway?
A residents’ handbook, designed for people who live next to an artificial waterway, is now available from council.
Did you know, if you live next to a lake or a canal, you share certain responsibilities with council in how that waterway is managed? And, if you are thinking of building a deck, pontoon or jetty, you can contact council’s development information unit on 5475 7526 to get free advice about whether a development application is required for your property.
You’ll find all this and more in the handbook. Copies are free and available from libraries, customer contact centres and on council’s website.
Community Hub
Want to know what’s happening around the Sunshine Coast over the holidays? Council’s online Community Hub connects you to local community groups, events and activities. It’s like a ‘yellow pages directory’ for local groups and the arts community that you can search by name, category or location. Visit community.sunshinecoast.qld.gov.au to connect with community groups and events across the region.
Happy Holidays
My wife Ingrid, my girls Lily and Jay Jay and I want you all to have a dead set ripper Chrissy. Take care and be safe. Jas.
