Cr Hungerford- Eudlo Creek footbridge one step closer
The Eudlo Creek footbridge is nearing completion, works on the bridge are expected to be complete in late April or May, depending on the weather.
The Eudlo Creek footbridge is nearing completion, works on the bridge are expected to be complete in late April or May, depending on the weather. This new three-metre wide stand-alone bridge will be constructed to the north of the existing traffic bridge, with approaches on piers to connect to existing pathways.This has been a long time coming and is a very important piece of infrastructure. It will greatly enhance the safety of the transport network in this area.
Owens Creek Road roundabout works continue
Construction works are well underway for the Owen Creek Road roundabout. After several nearby road upgrades in recent years, this roundabout is the next important road network upgrade that further improves traffic flow, helping to future-proof these roads.
Once complete this project will improve traffic flow and accommodate future traffic growth,I thank the community in advance for their patience.
Tanawha tourist drive upgrade
Road resealing works will be carried out along Tanawah Tourist drive. Council teams will keep traffic flowing as freely as possible with signs in place, informing motorists and residents of these works. This project is part of our $3 million road resealing program delivered this year.
Solar farm update
Construction of the Sunshine Coast Council's solar farm is nearing completion. Council will become Australia’s first local government to offset more than 100 percent of its electricity consumption across all its facilities and operations. The solar farm will provide $22 million in savings, after costs, over a 30-year period based on today’s electricity costs, which are anticipated to increase substantially in the future
