Buderim Village Park update
I’m pleased to advise the multi-purpose facility and landscape works for Stage 6 of the masterplan is now complete.
This building is unique and has already received fantastic feedback. In particular, the amenities component, featuring custom artwork from local artist Steven Bordanaro, has been long awaited by park visitors.
All of the new elements have blended exceptionally well with the previous works in the park making them a wonderful addition for the community.
I look forward to the next stages, including completion of the carpark and a playground.
New carpark coming to Wises Rd
Work has kicked off on the new $650,000 carpark at popular Maroochy Junior Rugby League Club. The existing gravel area is being formalised with asphalt and expanded to a total of 108 bays. The new carpark should be ready to roll by mid-February, weather permitting.
Bridge in troubled waters
A heads up a bridge at Buderim Forest Park (the third bridge from Harry’s entrance) was extensively storm damaged in December. Unfortunately the bridge is beyond repair and a new bridge is required.
Council is in the process of seeking quotes for the replacement and I will keep you posted on the timeframe once the cost and scope of the project are known.
Councillor catch up
Interested in hearing further information about local projects and developments or have some views to share? Maybe just want an opportunity to come and meet the local person who represents your Division 7?
Then pop over to see me at the Old Buderim Post Office, Burnett Street on the fourth Friday of every month from 10am – midday. Please note, due to Australia Day, the next councillor catch up will be February 23.
