Exercise equipment at Ivadale Lakes

Thank you to everyone who took the time to provide feedback on proposed exercise equipment for Stockyard Park in Ivadale Lakes. The proposal was very well-received, with many residents excited to have this equipment installed. Unfortunately, due to manufacturers closing over the Christmas break, it's unlikely that we'll see the equipment installed before February. I'm hopeful that this won't impact too significantly on any new year fitness resolutions you may have!

It's all happening

There are plenty of projects underway in Division 3 at the moment. As well as the significant progress occurring around the Kawana Health precinct area, Council has rehabilitated several roads including the recent resealing of Alstonville Way in Currimundi, as well as constructing new pathways at Sycamore Drive and Croydon Avenue. We are also currently making improvements to Grahame Stewart Park, where a new double-size picnic shelter with barbecue is being installed, plus new seating within the dog exercise area. Kids, make sure you keep an eye out for a double flying-fox coming early in the New Year.

Christmas wishes

My family and I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a very happy New Year. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with the Division 3 community again this year and I look forward to catching up with you in 2016. My first ‘councillor catch-up’ session for 2016 will be scheduled at Currimundi Marketplace in late January. Until then, stay safe!
