The Mayor and I recently opened the new Changing Places public amenities block in Grahame Stewart Park, Currimundi. The facility is a first for our region and will cater for people with high support needs who can’t use accessible toilets.
A region first in Division 3 The Mayor and I recently opened the new Changing Places public amenities block in Grahame Stewart Park, Currimundi. The facility is a first for our region and will cater for people with high support needs who can’t use accessible toilets. It includes a shower, adult sized change table, ceiling hoist, a toilet privacy screen and additional circulation space. In order to access this new facility, you will need to request a key via the changing places website: changingplaces.org.au
4 lane duplication now open
It gives me great delight to see four lanes now open along Parklands Boulevard in Little Mountain. Early feedback has confirmed the duplication project is improving traffic flow through the area at peak times. Whilst there are still some landscaping and finishing touches to be completed, overall this is a great outcome for our community. I would like to say a big thank you to residents for their patience over the past 18 months while work was underway.
Currimundi Lake playground upgrade
Work is currently underway to upgrade Cliff Hargreaves Park in Currimundi. This will include installing a new multi-play unit, Playmatta wear pads and cleaning the sand softfall. A new shade tree will also be planted in the park. This upgrade should be completed in the coming weeks, weather dependant.
