Pedestrian crossing and refuge for Stringybark Road, Buderim

I’m pleased to see that work has already begun on the Stringybark Road pedestrian crossing and refuge. Street lighting will also be installed at the crossing to increase pedestrian safety. Works are expected to finish late-October, weather dependent. Once complete, this pedestrian refuge will provide better connectivity in this popular location and improve the safety and accessibility for residents and students in the area.

New lanes open as Sippy Downs Drive nears completion

Road users are already experiencing a new section of Sippy Downs Drive, with the $12.2 million fourth and final stage of the upgrade on track to be delivered by the end of the year. The new, two-lane section of road between the Sunshine Motorway and Siena Catholic College has been opened (one lane in each direction) while the existing two lanes are being upgraded on the opposite side. As always please be mindful of changed traffic conditions when travelling in the area. The Sippy Downs Drive upgrade is a key council project and I want to thank the community for your patience to date.
