Cr Baberowski - Roys, Gympie and Storrs Road upgrades
A $1.1 million upgrade to Roys Road has started, that will widen and improve the road surface for a 1.1km stretch from the Burys Road intersection to just past the old forestry depot.
Good news on three important local roads: A $1.1 million upgrade to Roys Road has started, that will widen and improve the road surface for a 1.1km stretch from the Burys Road intersection to just past the old forestry depot.
Work on the older section of the Old Gympie road, 2.4km north from the intersection of Beerburrum-Woodford Road will strengthen the pavement and provide a new surface.
In Peachester, safety upgrades have also begun in order to widen and improve sight lines on Storrs Road. Work includes earthworks, drainage and asphalting.
Traffic controls will be in place during all these upgrades and, while council will do everything it can to avoid traffic delays, some will be unavoidable so thank you in advance for your patience.

100 years of pineapples
Congrats to the Moffat family! Did you know they have been farming pineapples in the Glass House Mountains district for more than a century, and their business produces 600-tonnes of pineapples annually? What a rich agricultural history we have in the hinterland!
