Looking for ideas to entertain the kids during the school holidays? With the fantastic variety of playgrounds in Division 1, we are spoilt for choice! Just to name a few, we have the amazing Pioneer Park, an all-abilities playground at Landsborough that has recently won the Playspace Award for the 2018 Qld Region Awards of Excellence by Parks and Leisure Australia. Another amazing playground is the new District Park playground in Glass House Mountains. This recently upgraded playground will surely help keep your younger ones active through expanded choices of playground equipment. Why not give one a try this week?

Integrated Transport Strategy gets the green light

As the Transport Portfolio Councillor I am pleased that a strategy that provides important targets and the blueprint for an integrated, safe and efficient transport system was endorsed by council on December 6 2018. The Integrated Transport Strategy responds to the significant transport challenges and opportunities facing our region and outlines our vision to address the region’s transport needs. The strategy was developed with input from the community, key stakeholder feedback and expert analysis, as well as a review of trends and changes occurring across the transport sector.
