Finding out what’s happening around the Coast is a lot easier these days thanks to Sunshine Coast Council’s free online directory - CommunityHub.

Community Programs Portfolio Councillor Jenny McKay said council’s CommunityHub was created to provide a free online interactive directory for community groups and the local arts community to promote their services, events and activities.

“If you are a local community group, I encourage you to add a listing for your group on the CommunityHub – you can also explore the benefits of promoting your events on this valuable online tool,” she said.

“It is easy to use and allows groups to create and edit their own listing, share event information and add interesting content, photos, music and videos.

“The more community groups that list on CommunityHub, the more it will become the ‘yellow pages’ for local community groups and the arts community.

“If you want to know what’s happening around the Sunshine Coast, then the CommunityHub is definitely the place to go.

“You can search for groups by name or by category for example health and wellbeing, education and learning, heritage and history, sport and recreation. Or you can search for a group or event by location. The CommunityHub includes contact details and links to websites and social media.
