A Mount Coolum playground upgraded by Sunshine Coast Council is proving popular with local children during the school holidays.
Division 8 Councillor Jason OPray said the upgrade at Warrack Street Park was one of many recreational projects funded through council’s $183 million Capital Works Program.
“This upgrade included replacing the flying fox and adding extra softfall material to make the playground safer,” Cr OPray said.
“It has been well used by kids over the school holidays, including my girls, who were keen to test out the new flying fox.”
