Division 9 Councillor Stephen Robinson acknowledged the important role aquatic facilities and services play in the lives of Sunshine Coast residents and visitors noting Council recently called for public tenders for the management of Coolum-Peregian Aquatic Centre.
“I am delighted to announce the successful managers are locally owned and operated Swim Fit Pty Ltd who has been chosen as they demonstrated a proven track record in aquatic programming and service delivery,” he said.
“Swimfit Pty Ltd has been professionally operating other council facilities on the Sunshine Coast including Buderim Aquatic Centre, Cotton Tree Aquatic Centre and Nambour Aquatic Centre over a number of years.
“Council was impressed with their comprehensive business management plan which detailed a sustainable and achievable management structure for the Coolum-Peregian Aquatic Centre in addition to their other facilities.
“The community can only benefit from their vast industry experience and I invite them to drop by to meet the new management to learn of their exciting plans for the future.”
Swim Fit Group Director Grant Belcher said he is extremely excited about their appointment and are truly grateful for the opportunity to work within the local Coolum-Peregian community.
