The Color Run’s all new Shine Tour is the perfect summer occasion for friends and families to experience over the school holidays. They are encouraging everyone to build a team, and enjoy one of the Sunshine Coast's best days out.
All about celebrating healthiness, happiness and individuality, The Color Run will feature a brand new Shine Zone that will sprinkle runners with shimmer powder as they shake and dance along their way.
Returning to the Sunshine Coast for the third time, the event will still feature the famous colour zones, mass Zumba warm-up and the famous Finish Festival everyone knows and loves.
Race director Rob McElligott is looking forward to offering something new to Sunshine Coast locals.
“We have had over 18,500 people participate in The Color Run event at the Sunshine Coast over the past three years, and we are excited for Queenslanders to experience something new," Mr McElligott said.
“What better way to start the new year than at The Color Run. We’re expecting more people to participate in the event than ever before."
Sunshine Coast Council Tourism, Sports and Major Events Portfolio holder Jason O’Pray is excited to have the event return to the Sunshine Coast.
"We love, love, love The Color Run," Cr O'Pray said.
“January is one of our most popular months for tourism, so it’s great that our visitors will get a chance to experience this event."
All participants who purchased tickets for the October event will automatically have their entry transferred over to the new date.
The Color Run is an all ages event that encourages participants of all shapes, sizes and fitness levels to have fun and celebrate. The event is strictly alcohol and drug free and is all about making rainbows, memories and fun.
