Got kids? Like music? Thought your days of rocking out at music festivals were long over? Caloundra Music Festival is your answer with the 2018 event over the October long weekend set to deliver some fun and relaxed vibes for young and old.
The ever popular Funky Forest is bigger and better and will be home to the Sun Stage with lots of exciting activities for kids.
Kids (young and old) you’re invited to dress up in your favourite costume and come create, play and explore.
Nestled under the shady trees of Kings Beach Park, there’s fun for kids of all ages with daily workshops, sports, games, facepainting, yoga classes, jumping castles, arts and crafts activities.
Moving out of Funky Forest, the kids can build some sandcastles, while you listen to some great tunes at the Sand Stage.
If all of that doesn’t keep you busy, why not nip out for a swim at King’s Beach which is literally on the doorstep of the festival.
Patrons will also enjoy a culinary experience at this year’s CMF, as we continue to take festival food to the next level.
Festival patrons are invited to take a food journey over the four days of Sun, Surf & Soul by visiting an array of food trucks and pop-up restaurants on offer throughout the festival site.
You will be delighted with a feast for all the senses.
This year comfortable, dedicated dining areas have been introduced throughout the festival, including a large undercover seating area at the Soul and Surf Stage.
Footy fans will be able to watch the grand finals at the Sun Stage via a special large screen area with seating under the trees.
And of course this year’s line up is sure to make the event a sell-out.
John Butler Trio, The Waifs, Birds of Tokyo, The Living End, The Temper Trap, Eskimo Joe, and Sneaky Sound System headline the event.
The superstar line-up also includes some of Australia best-known music acts - Sheppard, Arrested Development, The Screaming Jets, Tim Finn, Thirsty Merc and CMF’s perianal favourite Daryl Braithwaite.
Phil Jamieson, Horrorshow, Emily Wurramura, Caiti Baker and The Soul Movers (Murray from the Wiggles new band) also join this year’s festival.
