Division 10 Councillor Greg Rogerson said thousands of people had taken up the opportunity of getting their photo taken with thewings since they arrived at Nambour Civic Centre in early March.
“The Coast is the first in Queensland to acquire our own personally created wings which incorporate our well-known icons such as the Big Pineapple, Glass House Mountains, bunyas and more into the #whatliftsyou artwork,” Cr Rogerson said.
“So if you are heading to Nambour Civic Centre to catch some of the fantastic upcoming entertainment make sure you get your photo taken with the wings and share it with your social media friends.”
Cr Rogerson said Nambour Civic Centre continued to draw crowds both to the stage and to the big screen.
“The Australian Chamber Orchestra will present ‘Around the World’ performed by ACO2 – a string ensemble renowned for its fresh and energetic performance style on Friday, May 22 at 7:30pm,” he said.
“The Centre welcomes the reunited Australian music legends Glenn Shorrock and Brian Cadd to the stage on their limited Australian Tour, performing their timeless smash hits on July 3.
“And if you love a good laugh, the funny and gritty play, Fly In Fly Out, on June 5 is a must. Based in Queensland this comedy sheds some light on how families and communities deal with upheaval and learn to adapt with the influx of fly-in fly-out workers.
“Of course, the Arthouse Cinema Nambour will not disappoint with a range of the best arthouse, foreign and independent films.

Her large interactive murals have taken her to NYC, Denver, Las Vegas and San Jose, Costa Rica.
