Never put batteries and battery-powered devices in your bins at home.

When batteries are compacted in collection trucks or at waste facilities, they can start fires that pose serious safety risks to people and cause significant damage to local infrastructure.

Instead, take batteries to a nearby drop off point to dispose of them safely. This can be found using the Recycle Mate search below.

Note: Electric vehicle batteries are not accepted in this program. Contact the manufacturer for disposal options.
