Migrant water safety program
Taking part in water-based activities is a fun and popular past-time on the Sunshine Coast. Everyone should have the chance to enjoy our wonderful lifestyle.
We’re back!

After a short break, Royal Life Saving Society Queensland’s migrant water safety program returns to Nambour Aquatic Centre this November.
Join us for a program designed to help everyone feel confident in and around water. It’s open to culturally and linguistically diverse community members.
Program details
- Dates: 17–21 November 2025 (Monday to Friday)
- Sessions: Morning 9-10am or afternoon 5-6pm
- Venue: Nambour Aquatic Centre

Why is the migrant water safety program important?
In Queensland, 1 in 3 drowning deaths involve people born overseas. That’s why we’re committed to breaking down barriers to swimming and water safety.
Join us in Nambour for a program that’s not just about swimming — it’s about saving lives, building confidence and community.
