The LIM is updated every year (April). The manual is a dynamic and evolving document that incorporates the latest advancements and responds to changing council needs and industry innovations.
The Open Space Landscape Infrastructure Manual (LIM) was endorsed in principle by council on 23 May 2013 and is referenced in the planning scheme.
The LIM is updated yearly (April) as improved products and technical information becomes available.
April 2025 updates
This year the upload included amendments to over 17 categories to ensure the content continues to reflect Council’s desired standards and industry best practice.
The most significant 2025 updates:
- LIM Drinking fountains, LIM Dog exercise areas, LIM Showers, LIM Exercise equipment, LIM Play spaces and LIM Taps - now require the provision of a drainage plan upon completion of works.
- LIM Electrical - additional information regarding clearances for luminaires and switchboards.
- LIM Fences and gates - updates to the playground fence drawing set. Improvements to lock pin size to the ‘super heavy-duty gate’.
- LIM Play spaces and LIM Exercise equipment - removal of the use of Takura manufactured wood softfall.
- LIM Public amenities - updates throughout information sheet and schedule of finishes.
- LIM Signage suites - updates to various technical drawings. Additional economy option for ‘reserve entry sign’.
- LIM Shelters - clarification on fixings and fasteners for roof sheeting.
- LIM Taps - blue recycled plastic bollards now the preferred post for taps.
