International relations

Fostering local to global connections in order to raise awareness of the region's investment and export opportunities and better position the Sunshine Coast in key international markets.

Council's international relations and engagement activities are undertaken in accordance with council's international relations policy. The program of activities undertaken on an annual basis encompass many aspects of fostering local to global connections, in order to raise awareness of the region's investment and export opportunities and better position the Sunshine Coast in key international markets.

Sunshine Coast Council acknowledges the Sunshine Coast Country, home of the Kabi Kabi peoples and the Jinibara peoples, the Traditional Custodians, whose lands and waters we all now share.
We commit to working in partnership with the Traditional Custodians and the broader First Nations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) community to support self-determination through economic and community development.
