Tickets on sale: Sunshine Coast curated food experiences
Early release tickets are now available for The Curated Plate 2026, the Sunshine Coast’s premier 10‑day food and drink festival running from 24 July to 2 August, showcasing local chefs, producers and venues.

Early release tickets for The Curated Plate 2026 are now on sale, giving food lovers their first look at this year’s program of events across the Sunshine Coast.
Running from 24 July to 2 August, The Curated Plate is the Sunshine Coast’s premier food and drink festival, bringing together chefs, producers and venues for a 10-day showcase of local ingredients and culinary experiences from the coast to the hinterland.
Over 30 events are on sale now, with around 20 more to come next month, offering locals and visitors the chance to secure seats at some of the most in-demand experiences on the winter calendar.
Sunshine Coast Mayor Rosanna Natoli said Sunshine Coast locals and visitors were invited to be part of a festival that proudly celebrated the people, produce and places that make the region unique.
“The Curated Plate shines a spotlight on Sunshine Coast growers, fishers, makers and producers, and the roles they play in shaping a strong, sustainable regional food economy,” Mayor Natoli said.
“This festival reflects the pride our community takes in growing, producing and sharing high-quality food from the mountains to the sea.
“The Curated Plate is an opportunity to support local businesses and showcase the depth and diversity of the Sunshine Coast’s agribusiness and hospitality sectors, and I encourage everyone to explore the program, book early, and experience the many ways our produce is brought to the table through this year’s events.
The Curated Plate continues to tell the story of our region through food – connecting community, producers and visitors in a way that truly reflects the Sunshine Coast.”
Festival Culinary Director Peter Kuruvita said this year’s program marked a bold evolution for the festival.
“This year’s program is shaping up to be even stronger than last year, with the most diversity we’ve ever had on the menu – across cuisines, cultures and locations right along the Coast,” Mr Kuruvita said.
“From the beach to the bush, whether it’s an intimate long lunch, a hands-on farm tour or a large-scale feast, every event is grounded in local produce and tells a story about the Sunshine Coast.”
Leading the program is the highly anticipated opening event, Island Fire, where Mr Kuruvita, a celebrated chef, brings the vibrant flavours and cultural influences of Sri Lanka to the Sunshine Coast in a one-of-a-kind garden feast.
Across the program, guests can explore a rich mix of new and returning experiences. Highlights include the elevated breakfast experience Tasting in the Treetops, set high above the hinterland canopy, and Good Soil: Farm. Table. Beast. at Mapleton Tavern – built around a nose-to-tail, root-to-tip philosophy and transforming the space into a winter feast of fire-cooked dishes.
The program also extends deeper into the region this year, with events like the Ember and Harvest weekend in Kenilworth, inviting guests to immerse themselves in a series of fire, farm and flavour-led experiences that celebrate the connection between land, produce and community.
Festival favourites are also back on the menu, including the Hinterland Producers Lunch at Spicers Clovelly Estate, alongside immersive dining experiences like the Sunshine Coast Asian Food Festival at Spicers Tamarind, returning for one day only with a host of fresh changes including new restaurants and drink producers on offer.
New events are set to capture attention this year, including the relaxed Curated Nine Holes and Long Lunch at Maleny Golf Club, blending social golf with standout local produce, and Nourish Body, Mind & Soul at the Chenrezig Institute, offering a unique dining experience within one of Australia’s oldest Tibetan Buddhist centres.
Following a standout debut, SOKA’s Tuna Cutting Show returns, delivering theatre and precision as chefs expertly break down a whole tuna, while the lively OPA! Smashing Supper invites guests to embrace Greek tradition with shared plates, celebration and a little plate smashing along the way.
Across the board, the festival continues to champion the region’s producers, with each event designed to showcase locally sourced ingredients – from fresh seafood to hinterland-grown produce.
With only a portion of the full program released, this is just the beginning.
“This early release is about giving people a taste of what’s to come,” Mr Kuruvita said.
“There's so much more still to be announced, and I can promise it will continue to surprise and excite.”
Early release tickets are limited and expected to sell quickly, with food enthusiasts encouraged to secure their preferred events now and stay tuned for the full program reveal in the coming weeks.
The Curated Plate is delivered in partnership with Sunshine Coast Council, Visit Sunshine Coast, and Tourism and Events Queensland, alongside industry and community collaborators.
