Sunshine Coast Council presents The Flower Exposed exhibition by local artist duo Justine and Richard Newport at Caloundra Regional Gallery from 10 October to 18 November 2012.

The Flower Exposed exhibition explores and exposes the organic sensual textures, colours and forms of the flower.

Artists Justine and Richard?Newport seek the viewer’s response to their union of delicately painted large-scale subjects and intimate large-scale photographs.

Bookings are now open for a special free guided exhibition tour for children aged 6 to 14 years of age at 3.30pm on Tuesday 16 October.

Budding artists are invited to join artist Justine Newport from 10am to 2pm on Thursday 25 October as she demonstrates the techniques behind her arts practice. Cost is $25 per person, bookings and pre-payment essential.

The Flower Exposed will be officially launched at Caloundra Regional Gallery on Friday 12 October at 6pm. All art enthusiasts are invited to attend the launch and the artist floor talk at 10.30am on Saturday 13 October. Bookings are essential by visiting council’s gallery website or by calling the gallery on 5420 8299.

The Caloundra Regional Gallery is free to the public and open, Wednesday to Sunday, 10am to 4pm.
