Sunshine Coast Council invites local primary school children to ‘test drive’ a range of sports at the free Noosa Come and Try Summer Sports session on Tuesday, 28 August 2012 at the Noosa Tewantin Sports Complex, Tewantin.
The event is organised in partnership with Australian Sports Commission’s Active After-school Communities and Sport and Recreation Services, North Coast. Local kids will have the opportunity to trial a range of sports including tennis, little athletics, sailing, softball, golf, naval cadets, touch football, Oztag and cricket with their local sporting club.
All local primary school-aged children are welcome to attend the free event and will also receive a healthy afternoon tea, sports show bag and there will be plenty of giveaways on offer.
As a bonus, local clubs will be on hand to take registrations for the summer season, meet the coaches and importantly provide an opportunity for children to have fun ‘test driving’ the range of sports on offer.
