New playground facilities have been installed by the Sunshine Coast Council in the Open Meadows on Parklands Boulevard in Little Mountain.
Division 1 Councillor Anna Grosskreutz said that the playground upgrade is now complete and the facilities are open for community use.
"It is always exciting for the local community when new playground equipment is installed," Cr Anna said.
"I encourage families and children to try out the new facilities.
"There is a new double swing set, a combination unit of slippery slide, climbing net and platform, a seesaw hopper and a spinner bowl.
"Council has also installed added safety features including rubber wear pads and soft fall material."
All council's playgrounds are designed and installed to meet compliance with Australian Standards.
