Pioneering Sunshine Coast product, now available nationwide

Sunshine Coast Council signed an agreement this week that enables its award winning development tracking platform ‘Development.i’, to be offered to other council’s around Australia.

The platform, launched 10 October 2018, enables anyone to search and track local development activity and features instant visualisation, advanced searching and email notifications.

Development.i will be offered, through a Queensland company, allabout Xpert with experience working with council’s and public sector entities across Australia and overseas.

Council will receive a royalty from all sales of the platform enabling the continued focus on providing outstanding customer experiences to the local community.

Sunshine Coast Planning and Development Portfolio Councillor Christian Dickson said council had received much interest from public sector agencies across Australia and recognition at a number of industry awards, since launching the platform in October.

“Development.i is testament to the skills and knowledge of our in-house team who designed a product that meets the needs of both the development industry and our community,” Cr Dickson said.

“We now have a product Australia wants and the Sunshine Coast will benefit.”

Development.i replaced PD Online and is the new way to stay informed of development applications across the Sunshine Coast Local Government area. It has all the same information but in a more accessible and usable way.
