New Techbar at Maroochydore Library

Join the Friends of Maroochydore Library Inc. for afternoon tea and a chance to ‘test drive’ new technology at the Techbar launch on Thursday, March 20 at 2.30pm.

The Maroochydore Library Techbar provides an opportunity for the public to discover how to use three tablet devices and an eReader which will be available for experimentation and play.

You can check out the differences between the Windows Tablet (Surface), Android Tablet (Google) and the iPad Air (Apple) and there will also be a Sony eReader available to explore. So come along and familiarise yourself with the different operating systems and decide which one suits you best before buying.

The tablets will also be used by staff to demonstrate access to the eLibrary and libraries extensive range of online products that includes eBooks, eAudio, eMagazine, music and films.
