Young people aged 13 to 17 can learn the “ins and outs” of performing and creating a new play at a free fun and active workshop facilitated by the cast of Debase Productions’ Fly-In-Fly-Out.

The workshop will run prior to a presentation of Debase Productions’ acclaimed drama Fly-In-Fly-Out at Sunshine Coast Council’s Nambour Civic Centre on Friday, 5 June at 7.30pm.

Loaded with drama and fuelled by fun, Fly-In-Fly-Out is a play about growing up in a mining town, dealing with change and serving fried chicken.

The workshop will be an exciting opportunity for those interested in drama as it provides an insight into the life of the cast members. The cast will introduce participants to some basic exercises that help make creating a new play fun. The cast will also unpack some basic acting and character building exercises.

Ideal for drama students and those with a passion for performing, places are limited to just 30 participants so don’t miss out on this exciting experience with this nationally and internationally acclaimed theatre company.

The hour-long workshop will be held from 4.20pm on Friday, June 5 at Nambour Civic Centre, followed by the show at 7.30pm.  Workshop participants are able to purchase tickets to the show at the reduced rate of $16 per ticket.

To register for the free workshop, or to purchase tickets for the performance of Fly-In-Fly-Out please call the venue on 5475 7777 or visit www.scvenuesandevents.com.au.
