A free Park the Bark seminar presented by well-known animal behaviourist Dr Cam Day will be hosted by Sunshine Coast Council at the Landsborough School of Arts and Memorial Hall on Thursday, November 23 at 6.30pm.
Community Programs Portfolio Councillor Jenny McKay said the Park the Bark seminar was extremely successful when it was held in Kawana and encouraged dog owners to book their place.
“Our first seminar held in March this year helped more than 200 residents to better understand and manage their dog’s barking behaviour,” Cr McKay said.
“We know barking dogs are an issue for many residents across the Coast so I would encourage any dog owners to come along to this free seminar and learn to understand why dogs bark and get some tips on how to reduce this unwanted behaviour.”
Dr Cam Day is an experienced veterinary behaviourist who provides an entertaining and informative night.
The Park the Bark presentation will include:
- A look at some barking dog cases
- Which dogs bark the most
- A key you can use to solve barking behaviour
- Solutions to “When I am home” barking
- Solutions to “When I am away” barking
- Question time
There are only 150 spots available, so secure your booking as early as possible.
